Publishing requirementsTo make sure we publish your notice on time, follow our publishing requirements listed below. If you don’t follow these requirements, we may have to delay the publication of your notice or charge additional fees. For security reasons, we do not accept notices sent by email. We also do not send proofs for approval; however, we always advise clients of substantial changes. Private sector clients and clients from provincial and municipal governments Along with your notice, send us a cover letter that indicates clearly the name of the person we can call to acknowledge receipt of your request for insertion and to confirm the publication date. Also indicate when and how many times you want to publish your notice as well as if you require an affidavit. On your notice, include a signature block (name and title of the individual, or the name of the company which should appear at the end of the notice) as well as a date. If your notice is a statutory instrument and its publication in the Canada Gazette is required under an Act of Parliament, you will need to register it with the Clerk of the Privy Council under paragraph 6(b) of the Statutory Instruments Act. You should send the appropriate number of copies to the Privy Council Office for registration. Deadline scheduleIf your notice has 6 pages or less, we have to receive it before 12 noon (Eastern Time) on Friday, 6 business days before the date of publication. For a calendar of the publication dates and related deadlines, see the 2005-2006 publication deadline schedule.
